"Advertising for Change" was one hell of a big project and required the entire class's participation. And in my opinion, we all worked together pretty well. We helped each other out with photoshop and contributed ideas for the advertisement. Without one another, this project would have never looked this good and professional looking. When dealing with a group and working together, you really have to learn to communicate your skills and ideas to one another. We could been a little more organized and prepared when dealing with casting and time management. But other than that, this project turned out to be exceptionally well.
Everybody had a role to play when putting this advertisement together. I Had the luxury of showing my fellow classmates how to cut out the pictures using Photoshop and paste them into our template used to make the final versions of the posters. Without me, they might have been struggling with cutting the pictures out by using long, difficult, and tedious methods that would have wasted hours. I also had helped with editing the Ad Commercial. My knowledge and skills in using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro helped the group and were able to conjure a great commercial with the help others. I feel that I contributed alot to the group. Without the combination of everyone's creativity, ideas, and knowledge, the project would have been a complete mess and no one would have thought much when walking by our Posters.
This is probably the biggest project i have ever had with a class and in the end, i enjoyed it. This was a nice change of pace for the class and actually diving into what this elective is all about. And not to mention that we probably caught people's attention when looking at our Ads and forced them to stop and think about the next time they judge some one. This project was alot of fun, i got to contribute some of my talents to better the way we did things in Photoshop. I got to help edit footage for the commercial, which is one of the things i love to do. The one thing that really bothered me was the chosen topic for our project. I don't quite remember putting a vote towards the topic, we just kind of walked into class one day and learned that we were doing one big project on Stereotypes. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad topic, but to me, its pretty generic, and i don't remember discussing over the topic about what we liked best. But I think we did a damn good job on the project and I have to give credit to everyone's hard work and cooperation.
